Warrior Review
After handling the warrior katana, this is what I thought of it. For $300, the sword is worth the money. The polish is not as good as it could be, but its an "economy"
sword. The fuller extends to the tip and seems to have been done well. The blade is mono tempered, no hamon. The tsuka ito looked a bit better than the PK ito, but the
wrap could have been better. It was tight though, but not as tight as I would like. As for the rest of the koshirae, I was unimpressed. The saya lacquer was "cheap", the
menuki were metal and unimpressive, same was fake, and the tsuba was steel. The fuchi/kashira, however, seemed to be done well. |
